Enrichment · Spring 2027 · Live online classes for gifted or 2e kids, ages 5 to 18
They survive the school day. Then the real learning starts. Alone.
Your bright, quirky kid comes home drained, done performing. Then they disappear into the thing they actually care about: coding, history nobody taught them, how black holes work. They're brilliant at it. And there's nobody to share it with.
Young Scholars Academy enrichment gives them a class that excites them and kids who love it too. Live online, once a week, 6 to 8 kids, no grades and no homework.
- Afternoon and evening classes
- No grades, no homework
- Classes from $27.55 a week
- 93% of families come back
“We've coined a term in our house... the 'YSA Glow.' My son literally glows for 24 hours after class. It helps him feel great and get through the week.”
You've been Googling "gifted" and "struggling" at the same time.
Because your kid is both. Reading three grades ahead and melting down over homework. Debating you into a corner and forgetting their backpack.
They're bored, and done pretending they're not.
They mastered it in September. Now they spend the day waiting for everyone else to catch up.
They have classmates, but nobody who shares their obsessions.
They've started acting less smart and less intense, just to fit in.
School only talks about what's wrong.
Every conference is about the gaps. Nobody mentions they taught themselves to code.
They come home with nothing left.
Seven hours of holding it together. Then they fall apart at the door.
And the last thing your family needs is one more obligation.
No more portals, grades or homework fights.
They're too smart for busywork.
They're not doing their work, and their teachers think they're being disobedient or lazy. But they know: finish that worksheet, and they'll just get another one.
School is squeezing the love of learning out of them. Young Scholars Academy gives it back.
One class a week, about something they already love, with kids who love it too. That's where it starts.
Even one hour a week changes the whole week.
What if, a couple of afternoons a week, they sat down with 4 or 5 kids who think the way they think, with a mentor who was once exactly like them, and went deep on whatever lights them up?
What if, by February, they mentioned a friend by name? Not because you asked. Because they couldn't stop talking about them.
Families have a name for it: the YSA Glow.
Built around what school can't give them.
Content
Classes school doesn't offer, at the depth they crave
3D printing, D&D, theatre, science, Minecraft and more. Grouped by age and interest, not grade. Taught deep and fast.
Will it actually hold their interest?
“One of my favorite quotes so far I've heard her say was... 'Why are there not more classes like this? Why was I just introduced to this now? and not earlier?!' (She's only 10! haha!)”
Community
Kids who love the same thing
6 to 8 kids per class. Add a third class and a weekly friendship club comes with it. The YSA online campus is open every weekday afternoon for hanging out between classes.
Will they want to go after a long school day?
“Anytime I ask my child what were the 3 highlights of your day, one of her 3 highlights is ALWAYS her YSA courses.”
Caring mentors
A mentor who sees the strengths first
Most YSA mentors were bright, quirky kids. Kids join their own way, talking or typing, camera on or off where the class allows.
They're so tired after school.
“When he has had a hard day at school, his D&D really helps him to feel better. After the class it seems like he feels better about himself.”
Communication
Nothing to manage
No grades. No homework. No portal to check. One weekly note tells you what they did and how they're doing.
All class times are Pacific Time (PT). Classes meet once a week. Outside PT? Each card also shows your local time.

Dear parent of the bright kid who's struggling,
I spent most of my life feeling stupid. Not because I was. Because every report card pointed at what I couldn't do, and nobody talked about what I was great at.
Your kid spends all day being measured by their gaps. Then they come home and learn the things they care about, alone.
That's why I built this. Not to replace school. To give them the hour of the week where someone sees what they're great at and builds from there.
When you're really good at something and really fulfilled by it, no one cares what you're bad at. I want your kid to learn that now, not decades from now like I did.

Enrichment questions
How does this fit around school?
Young Scholars Academy enrichment classes meet live once a week for about 50 minutes, and most enrichment families choose 1 to 6 classes on the afternoons that work. Times are listed in Pacific Time.
Is there homework?
No. Young Scholars Academy enrichment classes have no grades and no outside-of-class work. Credit classes, with assignments and a grade, are optional.
Are there times that work on the East Coast?
Yes. Young Scholars Academy classes run from morning to evening Pacific Time, so many fall after school on the East Coast too. Use the class finder to filter by the afternoons that work for you.
Can this help with executive function?
Yes. Young Scholars Academy offers Executive Function: Young & Thriving, and many families pair it with a class their kid loves.
“He had one class, and I already cannot even imagine what it will be like at the end of the semester... Seeing Theo manage his own internal world with self-sufficiency filled me with joy.” Heather
Do you require a diagnosis?
No. Young Scholars Academy serves gifted or 2e kids ages 5 to 18 with no diagnosis or test scores needed.
What if it isn't the right fit?
The Try It From The Inside Satisfaction Guarantee covers it: switch to a better-fit class or take a credit, and on a payment plan you can stop future payments after a 30-day processing period.
